There are 5 Megabytes of disk space available on XS4ALL for you. If you need more storage space you can apply for it at a small extra charge. For those not familiar with UNIX, there are some introductory guides on our system. You can also use the ‘menu’ command after login. With SLIP/PPP you can access Internet through a graphical shell, like X-windows, Microsoft Windows or Apple Macintosh. It means you are able to use graphical WWW-browsers, FTP, Gopher and e-mail client programs based on the POP technique. Our online Unix/menu account offers SLIP/PPP with a temporary IP number. If this ‘dynaslip’ technique is unusable or uncomfortable for you, you can apply for a reserved, static IP-number at a small extra charge. For this price you can also choose your hostname. If you want more IP-numbers and hostnames for your SLIP site, we offer a SLIP-extra account. You will get a set of 8 ip numbers. 6 of which you can actually use. The other 2 are broadcast addresses. The SLIP extra is used for connecting one or more machines directly to the Internet. The listed price also includes one login account needed to use XS4ALL disk space for permanent WWW-pages or other file-usage.
